ATHENA COURT

Around 20 new high-tech and financial intelligence jobs will be created in Leamington as a pioneering finance company expands into new premises.

Online independent financial advisers Wealth Wizards has moved into a 5,200 sq ft unit at Athena Court on Tachbrook Park.

The company was launched by former Egg Investments managing director Andrew Firth in 2009 as the UK’s first online independent financial adviser.

In summer 2015 retirement specialist LV= took a majority stake in the company which currently employs 50 people and is moving to Athena Court from the nearby Pure Offices.

“LV=’s investment has enabled Wealth Wizards to continue to pioneer the development of our innovative advice product,” said Firth.

“We’ve enjoyed a period of rapid growth and having outgrown our previous offices on Tachbrook Park we knew we needed more space but were very keen to stay in the area.

“The new open plan office space will enable our team to work together and collaborate more effectively and means we now have space to expand in the future.”

BMW Rybrook, global mapping company HERE Europe, renewable energy company Eneco UK and commercial refurbishment and fit-out contractor Sandells are among the businesses already located at Athena Court.

The 35,000 sq ft courtyard-style office development is owned and managed by Leamington-based property investment and development company A C Lloyd. Following Wealth Wizards’ relocation, all units on the development are now occupied

All parties involved in the Wealth Wizards move – solicitors Wright Hassall, joint commercial property agents Bromwich Hardy and Wareing & Company and A C Lloyd – are based on Tachbrook Park

James Drew of A C Lloyd said the expansion of the company was a sign of growing confidence in the economy and good news for the area.

“Wealth Wizards is a highly innovative company and has expanded quickly since its start in 2009 but was very keen to stay in the area and retain its valued staff – so Athena Court fits the bill perfectly,” Drew said.

“We were delighted to be able to offer them a new home which was only a stone’s throw from their current offices. Athena Court is home for 19 businesses, many of which have moved here after out-growing their previous offices.

“The fact the space is now fully occupied is an indicator of the growing confidence of local businesses and the strengthening of the wider economy.”
