Three out of nine units are already under offer at a major new Warwickshire commercial development – more than six months before work is due to be completed.
Bromwich Hardy surveyor Sam Cooper says the response to the new project at Sucham Park at Southam demonstrates the huge levels of demand for industrial space across the region – and the need for more high-quality commercial schemes.
The 42,000 sq ft development is the first construction project from Warwickshire Property & Development Group (WPDG) and will deliver nine new commercial units to support a wide range of businesses at Holywell Business Park, part of the established Kineton Road Industrial Estate.
Work is under way on the scheme and expected to be completed this winter.
Sam said interest in the development – which features units ranging from 1,900 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft - had been huge and urged prospective tenants to move quickly if they wanted to secure the remaining space.
“We have been inundated with inquiries about Sucham Park and already have units one, two and nine under offer.
“These units are being built to an excellent specification, with high levels of energy efficiency, solar panels on the roof and electric charging points, and the flexibility to be fitted out to suit the tenants’ needs.
“The level of interest is a clear indication that demand for new, high quality commercial space is far exceeding supply in the current market, which is an issue we have been raising for some time. We very much hope that the success of this innovative scheme paves the way for further commercial opportunities across our region.”
Warwick-based MCS Group has been appointed as the construction partner for the scheme with ground works now completed and the steel structure of the building erected.
The development brings into use land that has remained unused for many years and is expected to create 100 jobs when completed.
